Auto Restoration

Forget hand sanding. Strip your vehicle down to bare metal and prepare it for a new paint job, or restoration in one simple step.

There are a variety of methods that strip paint and rust from the steel body of a car to prepare it for its new look. They vary from soda blasting, sandblasting and dustless blasting all the way to manual sanding by hand. Dustless blasting, however, is the superior choice for saving time, money and hassle.

Dustless Blasting vs. Other Methods

For starters, soda blasting and sandblasting use abrasives with particles so small that they can get into the vehicle and its parts. With baking soda being an alkaline chemical, the particles are so small that they can actually get into the metal’s pores. In addition, the dust particles created from soda blasting can actually kill insects and plant life. The water mixed into the abrasive of dustless blasting, however, reduces friction and heat which can end up warping the steel. This actually lowers the temperature of the metal by 10 degrees. We also use a rust inhibitor to prevent flash rust for 72 hours.

Dustless Blasting: The Superior Choice

Dustless blasting isn’t hazardous to the environment or the operator is very fast and results in a surface that is ready to paint immediately. Without the creation of dust plumes, we’re able to perform this service in closed spaces like your garage, shop or driveway. Dustless blasting uses 100% recycled glass which doesn’t create heat, dust or harm plants, animals and wildlife.

Dustless blasting removes:

  • Paint
  • Primer
  • Rust
  • Oil
  • Grease
  • Bog
  • Body filler
  • Powder coating
  • Chrome
